Description

This is an exciting oppotunity for a Time Served TIG Welder to join an established business on a permanent basis.

Rate of pay is £18.00ph + shift allowances and overtime.
Night shift allowance is +1/3rd of basic rate

Permanent Nights 10pm - 6am (Monday - Thursday)4pm - 9pm (Friday)


THE ROLE:

  • Welding to ASME IX standard in TIG process.
  • Fabricate small fabrications from technical drawings.
  • Operate auto welder.
  • To work to weld procedures.
  • Working to customer specifications.
  • Flexibility to carry out operations in other roles.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Apprentice trained.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment and tools.
  • The ability to operate an auto welder.
  • The ability to understand welding procedures.
  • The ability to read technical drawings.
  • An excellent understanding of quality rules.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A good understanding of health & safety and environmental issues.
  • Pendant Crane, Lifting & Slinging experience would be desirable_._
