The University of Portsmouth is an ambitious institution with a track record of success.

One of only four universities in the south east of England to achieve a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework and ranked in the top 150 in the Times Higher Young University World Rankings.

The Additional Support and Disability Advice Centre (ASDAC) provides advice, information and support to applicants and students with additional support needs and disabilities.

We work alongside professional services and with faculties to provide an accessible and inclusive environment.

We are seeking a Disability Adviser to join our dedicated team, to act as the main point of contact for students who disclose Specific Learning Differences and other less complex disabilities.

You will provide advice and practical support to our prospective and continuing students, including assessment and implementation of support needs.

You will represent ASDAC at student recruitment events and liaise with disabled students' support workers and external stakeholders, such as funding bodies and needs assessors.

Working alongside the Disability Officers, you will also provide advice and consultancy to colleagues across the university on disability support processes and inclusive practice.
