What is the role of an Inventory Assistant?


The Inventory Assistant will join the Warehouse & Stores team at the Rotherham Depot in a role that primarily involves the handling of materials associated with the installation of Cash Machines, accepting deliveries and picking materials for in-house and 3rd party installation and electrical teams.


Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor you will ideally hold current Forklift licence and general Health & Safety certification (or be willing to take relevant training) and work in line with current H&S best practice in the Stores and Warehouse areas of the depot.


What will I be doing as an Inventory Assistant?- Provide assistance and support in the Warehouse Department.- Accept, off-load and book-in deliveries of a wide-range of materials associated with ATM installations.- Receive and distribute goods to internal departments in line with Goods-In Process- Stock Take / Inventory.- Take part in quarterly Inventory Stock Takes.- Carry out regular Cycle Counts to maintain perpetual inventory accuracy within the Oracle ERP system.- Repair Centre Assistance- Provide Pick-Pack assistance for the Rotherham Repair Centre team.- Receive parts and modules and deliver to relevant teams.- Ensure repaired/tested goods are packed adequately to allow safe transit by courier.- Processing daily parts returns end-to-end including administration & loading onto 3rd Party transport.- Materials Provision for In house and 3rd Party Site teams- Load and off-load both Cardtronics and 3rd Party vehicles.- Pick building/electrical materials in line with lists provided for ATM Installation sites throughout the UK.- Serve construction consumables, PPE etc.

at Stores Hatch- General housekeeping, continuous improvement and H&S Compliance of the Stores, Warehouse and Yard areas.- Implement correct segregation and disposal of waste streams (cardboard, plastic, metal, WEEE etc.)- Take role in Weekly monitoring audits of Stores, Warehouse, and yard areas of the depot.- Reporting Near Misses.- Undertake general maintenance, cleaning duties etc.

What Will I Need to Succeed as an Inventory Assistant?- Working Knowledge of H&S Best Practice - CSCS Card Holder (or similar).- Prior experience of working in a fast-paced Stores/Warehouse environment.- Reach and/or Counterbalance Forklift Licence Holder, Hydraulic Pallet Truck competence.- Strong IT skills with experience of working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)- Experience working with Oracle ERP system desirable.- Excellent numeric and literacy skills.


What are the personal attributes needed for the Inventory Assistant role? Excellent communication skills.- Attention to detail and accuracy.- Ability to work in an organised manner and prioritise key tasks effectively to meet deadlines/timescales, especially when working under pressure.- Physically fit individual with good manual handling skills - experience using hydraulic pallet trucks beneficial.
