Job Summary:


Tech Centre Group are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to support our Financial Controller, within our small but busy Group Finance Team.

Duties and responsibilities will include management of daily banking and reconciliation, monthly sales reporting, cash flow forecasts, revenue assurance, Payroll duties and assisting with the preparation of management accounts and other ad hoc duties within the Finance Team.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and gain valuable experience in accounting practices.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain and update financial records
  • Support the finance team in preparing financial statements and reports
  • Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks/Xero
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations

Qualifications:

Previous experience in financial services or a related field is preferred. Additionally, this role may suit an individual who has started working towards AAT or has recently completed their qualifications.


Relevant Skills:


  • Xero experience desirable
  • Confident Excel and IT user
  • Solid double entry bookkeeping
  • Prior accounting experience of at least 12 years preferred
  • Resourceful and able to work autonomously if required.
  • Payroll experience minimum 1 year
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial terminology
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Experience/Core Role Tasks:


  • Bank reconciliations
  • Purchase ledger processing
  • Sales order processing and cash allocation & matching
  • Using Apps to process data efficiently and accurately
  • Payroll, PAYE and pension payments experience
  • Credit Control
  • VAT returns experience desirable
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation experience desirable

Pay:
£24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
