During 2024, the GP EMEA HR team are focusing on our HR foundations, with the key objective of improving our ways of working across the HR teams, as well as how we partner with business units, in regards to their HR advisory experience.


We currently have presence in 18 countries:
Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands/Nordics, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, South Africa, UAE.


We are keen to improve our skills, knowledge and experience within the advisory team and for us to be able to focus on this, we have an opportunity available to enhance the knowledge we have within the team.


As a
Senior HR Advisor, you will be supporting on a wide range of operational HR services including employee relations, compensation, compliance, HR processes and projects.

The role will focus on providing excellent service to the employee base across the UK and Europe, providing HR guidance to managers on policies, procedures and programs, as well as providing robust HR advice to management and employees concerning work-related problems.

Based in the UK, this is a fully remote role.


Job Summary

Functional HR

  • Communicate, distribute and ensure managers understand all HR programs, policies and procedures ensuring confidentiality and professionalism of approach
  • In country policy development and people manager guidelines
  • Provide professional advice on terms and conditions of engagement for workers in UK and Europe.

Employee Relations

  • Case management of activities such as under performance, grievance, conduct and absence matters.
  • Provide expert employment law advice and guidance across business operations and across the wider GP HR EMEA teams.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee questions and facilitate resolutions of manager and employee issues
  • Coach and deliver training to people managers throughout GP on effective employment relation practice, and embed understanding on risk and compliance needs
  • Understand and comply with employment law and legal requirements governing the HR field, namely those within the UK and European countries

Organisational Development:


  • As directed by the Snr HR Manager, support change processes across the business by providing clear guidance, support and advice when dealing with people managers and employees.
  • Partner with people managers to ensure the performance and capability improvements are achieved within teams, to build on high performance standards.
  • Supporting TUPE and M&A activities as required

Administration & Process:


  • Work with HR administration to support changes ensuring accurate information is updated within Oracle and other HR systems
  • Support with the preparation of associated change documentation, including promotions / demotions, salary changes and life changes (maternity, paternity, shared parental leave etc)
  • Support with cyclical events such as salary and equity pay reviews
  • Assist in developing HR process improvements, effective controls and procedures. Recommend procedural changes that will enhance current processes across the HR team
  • Assist Senior HR Management with analytical data with regards to salary, recruitment, headcount and turnover information; as well as assist with all legislated data requirements as required
  • Administration of the VISA and immigration process for new and existing cases

Qualifications


We're seeking an accomplished HR Advisor with demonstrable experience of providing support, guidance and manager coaching within employee relations and case management across Europe.


  • Knowledge and understanding of Human Resources across core functional areas of administration and employee relations; recruitment, learning and reward exposure is also highly desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of HR practices, principles and applicable laws and regulations in the UK with the desire to expand knowledge globally
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively manage and prioritise tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Tenacity and resilience with the capacity to work in a complex organisation
  • Team player, willing to engage and work collaboratively with others
