Description

Our continued growth in the New Build Housing Insulation and Solar PV sectors has created this exciting opportunity to join our New Build Estimating Team as a Trainee Estimator.

After training, the role will form a vital link between our clients and the business and requires the interpretation of building drawings and specification to provide accurate quotes for the Business Development Team to convert into sales.

This role requires a methodical approach along with accuracy and attention to detail. Good mathematical skills, a knowledge of Excel and a willingness to learn are essential.

Receive, log and process quote requests and invitations to tender.
Prioritise work based on tender return/due dates.
Respond to customers enquiries in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our existing customer base resulting in increased and repeat enquiries.
Access specification and drawing details from client portals.
Interpret technical drawings of a wide range of building types to calculate areas and volumes.
Create quotations based on the information obtained and specification requested.
Deliver quotation to clients for evaluation on time.
Liaise with clients and complete amendments and requotes.
Update in house systems.
Contributing to, and working towards, the strategic growth of the business and its objectives.
Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others.
Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.
