Lovely team in lovely setting, recently had an excellent joint inspection from Estyn and CIW looking to recruit a temporary Level 3 Childcare assistant on an initial 1 year contract, to join us at Benllech Preschool.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a great team of staff in a busy term time within school hours only preschool setting based in Benllech, caring for children aged 2 years to school age.

Great opportunity for a newly qualified level 3 or a level 3 qualified parent looking to return to work.

Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve:

• Assist in providing a safe environment for children
• Assisting with daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery
• Assist in ensuring the unit is clean and tidy and assist in meal preparation
• Assist colleagues with developing and maintaining good relationships with local schools, parents, and with the community
• Able to support children's behavior and act as a role model
• Support in ensuring the environment is stimulating and appropriate including layout, display of resources, displays and equal opportunities
• Supporting children in development and in care routines
• Occasional Taking the lead if required in absence of Manager/Deputy

10 hours a week minimum with often more available, pay meets national minimum wage and is for a term of 1 year.

A clear DBS and 2 references (work or character) is required for all successful applicants as well as proof or rights to work in the UK.

A full and valid level 3 Childcare qualification is required for this post.

£10.42-£10.65 per hour
