Description

Shorterm are currently assisting one of our engineering clients with multiple CNC Miller vacancies.

They are an Precision Engineering & Manufacturing company working primarily in the Aerospace Sector but also non Aerospace such as Space, Oil & Gas, Formula One and other Motorsport.

Due to company expansion, they are looking for three CNC Miller's to join the company on a permanent basis.
They are standard Monday to Friday working shifts which alternate weekly as follows:

Week 1:
Mon-Thurs 6am-2pm & Friday 6am-11am

Week 2:
Mon-Thurs 2pm-10pm & Friday 11am-4pm

A little about the role:

Setting of 3,4 & 5 Axis CNC Machining Centres to achieve first off approvals
In process sample inspection.
100% visual inspection of production output.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a CNC Miller position.
Experience with Heidenhain & or Fanuc Controls preferred
Ability to selfmanage, work on own initiative and as part of a team
Attention to detail
Ability to read technical drawings
Understanding of Renishaw Tool Calibration and Spindle Probes
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
Be proactive for the continual improvement of processes.
Deburring of Components
Ensure safe working practices wherever applicable.
Must be a team player and be willing to adhere to company procedures

Remuneration and Benefits
Annual salary £31,000 - £38,000 DOE
Overtime (when available) paid at time and half.
Annual Leave: 25 days + Bank Holidays.
