Are you a creative and dynamic mental health nurse who has desire to work with or already have experience of working with children and adolescents in a community mental health setting? Are you passionate about children, young persons and families receiving help and support when they need it most? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an able and dynamic CAMHS Specialist Community Clinical Nurse, to join our expanding and developing CAMHS Alliance Crisis Service.

The post holder will provide an accessible, high-quality mental health assessment and intervention for children and young people that is sensitive to their cultural, ethnic, religious, contextual, family and developmental needs.
There will be an emphasis on working towards client goals, giving the client informed choices, as well as using appropriate, evidence-based available resources and treatment packages.
The post holder will work as part of an MDT holding a clinical caseload and undertaking mental health assessments of children and adolescents presenting in crisis.
The post holder will provide a range of appropriate, evidence based clinical and crisis interventions, informed by assessed individual need.
You will be working with adolescents with behavioural, emotional and mental health needs often in complex family situations displaying a range of risk behaviours.
In addition to providing direct work to families and young people, you will assist the CAMHS and/or paediatrics team with treatment planning and provide consultation to families/carers and other professionals involved in the life of the young person.
The post holder will have experience of specialist mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions.The post holder's skills will be supported and adapted to meet the needs of children and adolescents with mental health problems and their families if you do not have CAMHS experience.
