AstraZeneca's Apprenticeship programme is designed to create the technicians and engineers of the future.

Apprentices play a hugely important role at AstraZeneca, solving challenges that arise from some of the most advanced equipment in the industry.

As a Validation apprentice, you'll be required to help maintain regulatory compliance and the validation status of complex equipment and ensure that high standards are adhered to for safety, manufacturing quality and documentation.


Under supervision the role holder will work on:

  • Validation activities across critical computer systems, temperature-controlled environments, facilities plant and equipment and operational process at the Biologics Facility
  • developing into the role of Subject Matter Expert.
  • Performing the role of Validation SME, supporting the effective and timely delivery of the site Validation Master Plan, ensuring continued compliance across all system to the requirements of Corporate and site policies and procedures aligned to Regulator requirements and industry best practice.
  • Compilation and delivery of Validation Reports and Protocols, including but not limited to URS, FDS, IQ,OQ,PQ, Periodic Reviews and technical report reviews and approvals.
  • Providing Validation support for the sites change control process, (life cycle management of plant, process and equipment) and technical investigative support for none compliance events,

Training and Development
AstraZeneca will sponsor you through your Control Technical Support Engineer degree at
Aston
University. The apprenticeship combines working, earning a full-time salary, with fully funded part-time university learning (on average 1 day/week).

This will give you the opportunity to gain a degree, just as you would if you went to university full-time, with the advantage of gaining relevant work-life skills and the excitement of helping to develop new medicines whilst taking your first steps towards a rewarding career.

Entry Requirements:


This is a 51 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity based at Speke - Liverpool offering
£21,500 starting base salary + 11% benefits fund + bonus.
