Sports Centre Assistant

HOURS:
To work flexible hours of up to 20 hours (or 1 to 5 days) per week. Working from 5:00pm

  • 10.00pm.

SALARY:
£11.50 p/h


REPORTS TO:
Sports Centre Manager & Community Manager


OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The Sports Centre Assistant will help deliver the schools community sports programme to parents and members of the wider community.

The Sports Centre Assistant will be responsible for understanding and complying with Health and Safety regulations, assist in the smooth running of the

Community Sports Centre and maintain a friendly, approachable manner with users of the centre.


KEY DUTIES

  • To be the first point of contact for the Community Sports Centre for the general public, staff, students and parents from the school.
  • To ensure that all members sign in and out.
  • To ensure that members are at their allocated sessions at all times.
  • To promote the programme to staff, parents and the wider community
  • To motivate customers to achieve their fitness goals.
  • To answer the telephone and deal with enquiries from members of the public.
  • To conduct regular floor walks and inspections during session times.
  • To co-ordinate the Microsoft Outlook bookings diary for the centre.
  • To take payments for bookings and assist with organising invoicing and contracts.
  • To complete a daily cash sheet and ensure weekly payments are given to the Finance Officer
  • To process membership forms and other personal data in line with GPDR.
  • To keep accurate records of bookings and enquiries about the hire of the centre.
  • To administer first aid to users in the event of an accident (if qualified)
  • To maintain a log of community equipment.
  • Take possession of security keys to open and close the centre as required.
