ARE YOU THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
An opportunity has arisen within our Accounts department for a Credit Controller. The Credit Controller will be responsible for chasing overdue cash, old debt and following up queries.

  • Contacts customers to follow up on late payments and resolve payment issues
  • Responsible for designated area/post codes
  • Drives adherence to Mayflex payment terms
  • Monitors customer payment patterns
  • Enters incidents requiring credit onto the DC1 system
  • Liaises with colleagues to keep customer credit ratings up to date
  • Releases or holds orders in accordance with Credit Control procedures
  • Flags concerns regarding communication delays and/or customer ability to pay to Assistant Sales Ledger Manager
  • Maintain regular contact with allocated customers in accordance with Mayflex credit policies
  • Continually monitor and manage customer credit ratings
  • Monitor ledgers and debt owed
  • Monitor and manage payment plans so debts are cleared as quickly as possible
  • Monitor and control late payments and escalate to Asst Sales Ledger manager to take the appropriate action
  • Acton and resolve incidents and queries to expedite payments
  • Regularly review orders to be released/held in line with credit control policy
  • Request relevant Insurance cover on customer accounts and update DC1 maintenance fields
  • Cash posting cover for holidays

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING TO MAYFLEX?

  • 3 years' experience in credit control environment
  • Maths and English GCSE B grade or equivalent
  • Proven track record of working in a busy office environment
  • Experience of posting and reconciling payment.
