CREDIT CONTROLLER

ARE YOU THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
An opportunity has arisen within our Accounts department for a Credit Controller. The Credit Controller will be responsible for chasing overdue cash, old debt and following up queries.

Contacts customers to follow up on late payments and resolve payment issues
Responsible for designated area/post codes
Drives adherence to Mayflex payment terms
Monitors customer payment patterns
Enters incidents requiring credit onto the DC1 system
Liaises with colleagues to keep customer credit ratings up to date
Releases or holds orders in accordance with Credit Control procedures
Flags concerns regarding communication delays and/or customer ability to pay to Assistant Sales Ledger Manager
Maintain regular contact with allocated customers in accordance with Mayflex credit policies
Continually monitor and manage customer credit ratings
Monitor ledgers and debt owed
Monitor and manage payment plans so debts are cleared as quickly as possible
Monitor and control late payments and escalate to Asst Sales Ledger manager to take the appropriate action
Acton and resolve incidents and queries to expedite payments
Regularly review orders to be released/held in line with credit control policy
Request relevant Insurance cover on customer accounts and update DC1 maintenance fields
Cash posting cover for holidays

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING TO MAYFLEX?

3 years' experience in credit control environment
Maths and English GCSE B grade or equivalent
Proven track record of working in a busy office environment
Experience of posting and reconciling payment.
