St Bartholomew's Hospital | Physiotherapy Department | Permanent | Full time

From £24,500 depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

- facing and administrative roles for the team. This involves assisting our physiotherapist in all physiotherapy disciplines and completing various admin duties across our in-patient, out-patient and rehab services at the hospital.


Responsibilities Include:

Clinical Patient Care

  • To undertake specific skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of patients.
  • To assist the qualified physiotherapist in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients.
  • To accept patients referred by a qualified physiotherapist and manage and prioritise own patient case load delegated by the qualified physiotherapist.
  • To support the delivery of small group exercise classes, under the direction of senior members of the team.
  • To communicate effectively with other healthcare staff and patients by using appropriate verbal and nonverbal communication.
  • To keep accurate record of work undertaken in accordance to our Physiotherapy service standards.
  • To liaise with our physiotherapists as necessary regarding patient care.

Administration:


  • To assist with general administrative duties related to the running of a physiotherapy department such as using our TM2 diary management.
  • Help the department run smoothly by preparing clinical paperwork and assist with patient referral forms.
  • To contribute to development of physiotherapy service delivery and patient care by attending relevant team, departmental or other appropriate meetings.
  • To aid the management of departmental cleanliness and infection prevention standards, in conjunction with hospital protocols and help to maintain levels of stock equipment.

Skills/Experience Required:


  • Experience in a customer service focused environment
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Approachable, personable and able to adapt to different situations, keen to improve customer experience
  • A team player with exceptional planning and organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
  • Flexible and 'can do' attitude
  • Excellent IT skills with proven skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
