You will work with the team and be responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of goods and meals between various units in the vicinity of OCS Manston along with being responsible for the delivery and receipt of all catering stores (ambient, chilled& frozen) and all deliveries put away in the correct allocated areas in a timely manner.

You will also be required to undertake cleaning duties, both routinely and as required for the electric vehicle and responsibility for vehicle charging levels, regular safety checks and milage recording whilst ensuring the safety of all personnel that willbe accompanied with the electric.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to support people in real need of help who are experiencing the UK for the first time following a traumatic journey, and although there will be limited contact with the migrants, an empathetic, reliable nature with excellentattention to detail would be required.


Main duties and responsibilities.

The loading of the service hot fridges at customer level and initial start of hot fridge programming to enable the service food to be correctly brought up to service temp.

To liaise with Client & Client Contacts to meet their expectations on the specified service.

To work as part of a team and use initiative to complete all your duties to a set standard and a timely manner.

To deliver chilled food stock around site to the allocated marquees and assist in the preparation of the loading / unloading of chilled items at the final route point.

Ensure vehicle is checked and maintained correctly, reporting any defects or issues.
Ensure stock levels are kept to standard throughout the catering buildings.
Ensure the team are working productively and delivering a high standard of food safety expected within the contract. You will be required to monitor the unit delivery fridges & freezers and undertake daily HACCP monitoring records.

Transported food items to be loaded correctly and safely and distributed within the oven load at the point of final drop.

Ensure staffs receive appropriate support and training to safely carry out their duties if assisting you with your role.

Ensure all locations consistently have adequate stock and replenish as and when required, ensuring that all records are updated and accurate.

The regular completion of quality audits and reports as per company specification, including HSQE, Food Safety and additional OCS compliance audits.

Understand, practice, and always promote the importance of Health & Safety procedures and policies.
Always adhere to company policies and procedures.
To review work schedules alongside your manager

To succeed in this role you will need
Full UK driving license
Food safety level 2 qualification or equivalent is also desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided
Possess good interpersonal skills and communication skills
Previous experience in a catering environment.
Previous experience of managing a team and demonstrate the ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures, in relation to Health & Safety
