Description

1. Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing, toileting, and medication administration

Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence with the use of aids and personal equipment.
Help care for residents who are dying.
Care for residents who are temporarily sick and needing for example dressings and bed nursing.
To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing in their activities such as reading, writing hobbies & recreations.
To make and change beds, tidy rooms, do light cleaning and empty commodes.
To inspect, launder and mend resident's clothes.
To set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, feed residents who need help.
Wash up, clean the dining room and complete house duties as indicated in daily rota.
Answer emergency bells, the door, and telephone and greet visitors. Take clear messages where required.
To read and write reports, take part in resident's meetings and in training activities as directed.
To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required.
To always comply with home's policies and procedures.
To report to the home assistant manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a resident.
To encourage residents to remain as independent as possible, including understanding the Mental Capacity Act and what it means for supporting the service users.
Complete training courses as required, including new courses and updates for existing courses.

This position requires a DBS check which is provided by the employer

£11.75-£12.40 per hour
