Description

The Role:

I am looking for a passionate School Support Assistant to join our team in a school setting. You will play a crucial role in providing guidance, support, and assistance to young people in need. You will work directly with SEN children and will have an awareness of ASD, ADHD and PMLD.

Responsibilities:

Support children with personal care as needed.
Build strong relationships with youth and establish a supportive and trusting environment.
Conduct individual assessments to identify the needs and strengths of each young person.
Develop and implement tailored support plans based on the individual needs and goals.
Provide emotional support, advocacy, and crisis intervention as required.
Promote positive behaviour and help youth develop effective coping mechanisms and problemsolving skills.

Requirements/Nice to have:

Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on Update Service or willing to apply.

Ability to commit
full time as well as
school hours: 08:30 3:30.
Passion to help children and willingness to provide
personal care when needed.
Extensive experience is
not essential we care more about passion to help SEN children to succeed
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Empathy, patience, and resilience when dealing with challenging situations.
