We are looking for a Technical Manager to help support our growing lighting business, based in Southampton.

The role will be diverse, covering all aspects of supporting a lighting manufacturing, design and supply business.

This might include, but not be limited to, general business administration, site technical assistance, BOM management and production engineering, photometry management, product design and engineering, managing our lighting controls offer and supporting site commissioning, emergency lighting design, general lighting design.

Therefore, good written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work on your own initiative when required, are essential.

Experience of any of the following software / protocols would be favourable:
Excel and MS Office, AutoCAD, Dialux/ Relux, Solidworks, CASAMMBI, DALI, DMX, 3DS.

Our aim is for the successful applicant to become well versed with the complete Arlico product portfolio and, alongside an existing wider general technical knowledge of lighting - such as dimming, lighting controls and emergency lighting, to fully support the business both pre and post-sale.

In addition to the above, an interest in product design and materials would be harnessed to develop special products for our own lighting projects.

Working closely with the team you will understand the diverse technicalities of lighting and will be skilled to work both independently and alongside the wider team, on a broad spectrum of interior and exterior lighting and controls projects.

The successful applicant will be required to work mostly at our modern Southampton office, as well as in the field, including travel to company suppliers, project sites etc.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.

As site attendance would be necessary, a full UK driving licence would be a distinct advantage.
