We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our School of Education which has a long and proud history in education studies, SEND, childhood and community studies, teacher education and sector leading postgraduate provision.

We have a reputation for outstanding graduates and researchers.


Reporting to the Head of Education and Early Childhood Studies (EECS) - and also working alongside the Programme Leader for Early Childhood Studies and associated programmes, you will be responsible for the School's Education Studies suite: featuring a dynamic range of undergraduate programmes and a growing portfolio.


The School of Education at LJMU, is renowned for the quality and strength of its undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, along with an enviable reputation for international partnerships and collaborative research.

Student experience is at the heart of everything we do and this is reflected in the quality of our programmes and the development of socially engaged practitioners and educational leaders - delivered through a team of committed and forward-thinking academic teams.


You will have the capability to build on the existing strong foundations and achievements in the Subject Area, while also having the vision and ambition to work alongside the EECS Head to positively respond to future challenges and opportunities.


As a key member of the School's leadership team, a strong and nuanced understanding of the UK educational landscape, complex policy implications and regulatory requirements of the Office for Students (OfS) and the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), is essential.

Effective recruitment and sustained retention, progression and positive graduate outcomes for our students is also a critical focus of this role.

You will be joining our vibrant School and Faculty at a pivotal moment of growth and opportunities.
