The Role

Our aim is to help the people in our care to live their best possible life.

Working within a team of caring support workers, you will be leading shifts and supporting team members in their learning and development, as well as working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home.


We support individuals with a wide range of needs and conditions, including learning disabilities, mental health problems, autism, acquired brain injury and sensory impairments.

Some of the people we support may have difficulties with communication and, at times, may display behaviours that are deemed to be challenging.

Bespoke, high-quality training will be given so that you have exactly the right skills needed to support each person based on their individual needs.


We are keen to recruit skilled and experienced Team Leaders with a strong value base, who demonstrate kindness, compassion and integrity, alongside best practice, and who will be an excellent role model for the people in their team.


The main elements of your role include:

  • Leading shifts to ensure that each person receives the best possible care, in a safe and enriching environment.
  • Supporting the Registered Manager in ensuring that all of the responsibilities are met, including attending meetings, assisting with staff supervisions, overseeing keyworker sessions, helping to maintain budget, monitoring files, completing care review documents and risk assessments.
  • Ensuring that the service runs smoothly in the manager's absence.
  • General support worker duties, including following care plans and supporting individuals in their daily routines, developing positive and relationships with the individuals and promoting their safety at all times, supporting contact with families and friends (as appropriate), supporting people with communication and positive behaviour management.
  • Liaising with other professionals to ensure every individual's needs are being met.
  • Handling and administering medication.
  • Completing records and documentation to a high standard.
  • Have a minimum of 12 months' support work experience.
  • Are reliable, caring, compassionate and professional.
  • Are ready for the next step in their careers and are keen to develop others.
  • Genuinely want to make a difference to the lives of the individuals they support.
  • Are resilient and able to handle challenging situations with positivity.
  • Have a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social care or equivalent and be willing to complete further learning and development.
  • Are able to act on their own initiative and also work well in a team.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
