Supply Chain Co-Ordinator

Eastbourne based

Monday to Thursday 8.30am till 5.30pm

Friday 8.30am till 4.30pm

We have an opportunity for a procurement specialist to join our clients project team.

The Supply Chain Coordinator will manage the sourcing, negotiating and procurement of goods, materials, and services to meet project requirements, ensuring that value and quality is maximised and costs/savings are generated.


The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible and accountable for the management of suppliers providing goods, materials and services and ensuring that the company's operational needs are met, whilst considering price, quality and delivery and ensuring the continuity of supply at competitive prices in a highly competitive market.

This role will involve;
Working across multiple projects with multiple suppliers you will demonstrate an ability to multitask and prioritise.


Duties will include:

  • Ensuring that purchasing policies and processes are adhered to, to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets, which enable the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
  • Continually review best practice purchasing policies, processes, and procedures to maintain and improve business performance and deliver best value and savings.
  • Ensuring purchasing policy, guidelines and associated documents are maintained and updated as required.
  • Developing supplier initiatives to ensure appropriate supplier partnerships and the delivery of products.
  • Identifying risk and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Developing creative and innovative procurement processes to bring improvements to the business.
  • Producing regular reports

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in a supply chain management or procurement environment, advantage in print environment.
  • Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
  • Contract management and supplier experience.
  • Project management experience desirable.
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of supply chain management processes.
  • Calm under pressure, working to tight deadlines and quick turn arounds.
  • Great negotiation skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Familiar with MRP, Estimating and procurement solutions.
  • Immediate start for the right individual
