Overview:


First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic Events Management business who are looking to recruit an Account Manager on a permanent basis due to growth.

The business mainly provides services to corporate events which generally take place on weekdays, although some weekend working will be required, and there is a high degree of flexibility regarding working hours, as well as an understanding that this is nota 9-5 job.

The purpose of the Account Manager is to generate and drive revenues from exhibition organisers, primarily from existing accounts, but also from new clients.

This includes promoting and selling some products and services that are completely unique to the business.

Purpose of the role:

Duties and responsibilities:


  • You will sell a range of audiovisual solutions for live events to existing and new clients.
  • You will identify opportunities to improve revenue from existing accounts and leveraging other relationships to develop new accounts.
  • You will write account plans for clients to identify and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • You will produce quotations and proposals.
  • You will analyse the profitability of accounts and recommend actions for improvements.
  • You will attend industry functions to cement relationships and develop new ones.

Qualifications and experience:


  • Proven experience in a technical delivery and/or technical sales role.
  • Naturally proactive instincts, with a hunger for sales.
  • A good understanding of the exhibition or live events sector.
  • Demonstrable track record of achievement and commercial skills.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
  • First class interpersonal skills especially regarding meeting management and written communications.
  • Experience and familiarity using a CRM solution.
  • Very good IT skills including being competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience of working effectively with a wide variety of people at all levels within an organisation.
  • Excellent allround enduser IT skills.
