Financial Reporting Assistant
We are a multinational listed manufacturing group based in Uckfield, East Sussex looking to recruit a newly
qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA). We are currently looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Assistant for the
Group Finance Team, to be based at Bellbrook Park (BBP) on a temporary basis; minimum six months. The
vacancy provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant to gain hands-on experience in
financial reporting.


The Role
This role will report to the Group Financial Reporting Accountant.


Duties include

Year-end and half-year-end procedures, including:

  • Production of plc reporting pack at halfyear and full year.
  • Reviewing packs submitted by subsidiaries and following up on queries raised.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Group's annual and interim financial statements and City presentation.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure queries raised are resolved in a timely manner.

Monthly management accounts:

  • Supporting the Group Financial Accounting Assistant in preparing schedules for the consolidated
management accounts.

  • Intercompany trading review and follow up on monthly reconciliations.

Treasury & Other responsibilities:

  • Assisting with bank drawdown requests.
  • Dealing with Intercompany loan transfers.
  • Involvement in other areas including rebates, royalty income and credit insurance.
  • Ad hoc projects as required by the business.
Assistant (approx 2 years post qualification). Needs to have proficiency with Microsoft Office products (mainly
think logically with proven problem-solving/analytical skills and have strong bookkeeping skills. IFRS GAAP and
Dynamics 365 knowledge are advantageous.

Being an excellent communicator and having confidence when dealing with all levels of the business is desired.
Discretion and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Flexibility in
approach and being able to prioritise and remain focused at all times is key.
