We are currently seeking an experienced and diligent Permit to Work Coordinator to join our team for an exciting Open-Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) project.
The Permit to Work Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the strict implementation of PTW rules at work locations and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
PTW Implementation:
- Ensure strict implementation of the Permit to Work (PTW) rules at various work locations within the project site.
- Coordinate and actively participate in work permit coordination meetings to review and approve permit requests.
PTW Procedure Audit:
- Conduct regular audits of the Permit to Work Procedure to ensure compliance with established standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure daily compliance with PTW requirements and address any noncompliance issues promptly.
Quality Check and Certification:
- Provide a quality check on the completion of permits and certificates, ensuring all necessary signatures have been obtained.
- Inform stakeholders of any potential conflicts or issues related to PTW.
Status Tracking:
- Maintain an updated record of all permitted work and isolations, reflecting the current status of ongoing activities.
- Take a lead role in preventing conflicts and ensuring safe simultaneous operations (SIMOPs) during permit issuance.
Coaching and Mentoring:
- Coach and mentor staff members on PTW processes, safety protocols, and best practices as needed.
Communication and Coordination:
- Ensure effective communication of PTW updates and changes to all relevant personnel.
- Participate and contribute meaningfully during PTW review meetings, providing insights and suggestions for improvement.
PTW Tracking System:
- Establish and maintain a PTW tracking system to monitor the validity of work permits.
- Ensure timely closure of work permits upon completion of work and handle expired permits through cancellation or renewal.
Reporting and Record-keeping:
- Forward all audit reports to the Site Manager and maintain accurate records of PTW activities and related documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Permit to Work coordination role, preferably in construction or energy projects.
- Thorough understanding of PTW rules, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate PTW records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate with stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and independently when required.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and audit processes.
