Powered by CAN is on the lookout for a dynamic Creative Producer to curate and orchestrate a diverse array of arts workshops, performances, and projects tailored for young individuals throughout the Black Country.

As the Creative Producer, you'll collaborate closely with youth groups, educational institutions, venues, and freelance artists to bring to life vibrant arts and cultural experiences that resonate with the interests and aspirations of children, young people, and adults (under 35s).


Responsibilities:


  • Facilitating Artistic Collaborations: Forge connections between talented artists and youth groups, facilitating collaborations to produce bespoke murals, installations, and creative projects that reflect the unique perspectives of the community.
  • Empowering Creative Expression: Act as a conduit between young people and a spectrum of creative professionals, including podcasters, publishers, and digital content creators, fostering opportunities for youth to develop and showcase their own creative content.
  • Activating Cultural Spaces: Infuse the Black Country's urban landscapes with vitality by coordinating performances, art installations, and cultural events that celebrate the region's rich heritage and contemporary identity.
  • Curating Enriching Programs: Develop comprehensive outofschool and holiday activities designed to captivate and engage children and young people, offering meaningful opportunities for artistic exploration and personal development.
  • Championing Inclusive Initiatives: Collaborate with freelance artists to design inclusive projects tailored to engage and empower marginalized groups of young individuals, ensuring that arts and culture remain accessible to all.

Qualifications:


  • A genuine passion for the arts and a deep commitment to fostering creativity and cultural engagement among young people.
  • Proven experience in arts programming, project management, or event coordination, preferably within a youthfocused or communitydriven context.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships with diverse stakeholders, including youth groups, educators, artists, and cultural organizations.
  • Creative problemsolving abilities and a keen eye for innovative opportunities to amplify youth voices and talents.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • An understanding of and dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, ensuring that arts and cultural programming remains accessible and representative of the community it serves.
