The Company

We're supporting the recruitment of a Portfolio Analyst, to work closely with stakeholders and Project Managers, establishing resource management and key analytical deliverables across a wide range of business projects.

This is an excellent opportunity forsomeone to join a centralized PMO, supporting a business-wide change agenda.

This firm is a world leading legal services business, operating on a global scale with multiple Tier 1 practice groups and a strong focus onarbitration, banking, competition and trade,as well as corporate crime and corporate finance.

Key Responsibilities of the Portfolio Analyst

Work with the Portfolio Manager to assist in the effective supply and demand of all portfolio delivery related resource
To produce and align resource requirements and provide proposals to improve efficiency and enable delivery
To be a key contact for all Stakeholders in queries relating to the FTE Modelling and planning
To produce weekly/monthly reviews of the capacity and demand of the portfolio to ensure efficient and consistent delivery
Development of appropriate toolsets to determine demand at deliverable level e.g., work packaging, sprint definition, precedentbased forecasting;
Work with the Portfolio Manager to provide analytical support for standard portfolio management practices that cover disciplines such as risk management, financial management, project lifecycle management, governance, and reporting (to Senior Managementand the Executive Board)
Work with all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and adherence to portfolio processes
Work with Project Managers and their teams to gather the required data, and support them with the mandatory portfolio processes
Assist in the administration and facilitation of project ideas through triaging and business case production with business stakeholders and change managers

Skills & Attributes of the Portfolio Analyst

Leadership ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives for teams and individuals
Ownership can take highlevel/immediate issues and translate into action
Deep knowledge and experience of resource management
Principles, techniques and tools for the effective management of resource allocation
Ability to plan and organise, making datadriven decisions on how to deploy resources

Relationship building

Establishes relationships, contributes to an open culture and maintains contacts with people from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.
Demonstrable working knowledge of resource utilisation measurement tools and methods
