Working for a very well-established business based in Luton, this role is an excellent opportunity for confident accounts person who is keen to continue their development.

You will have strong previous accounting experience and be computer literate withknowledge of excel.

The company will offer an excellent AAT/CIMA or ACCA study package where required.


The role is office based, 5 days per week - you will therefore need to be able to commute to Luton daily.

The key aspects of this role are as follows:

  • Allocation of daily cash and reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Process purchase orders based on internal requests
  • Process staff expenses and mileage claims
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Assisting with other Month End tasks including Prepayments, Fixed assets, intercompany & reviewing Overheads.
  • Produce monthly accruals for Purchase Orders.
  • Run and analysis reports under Subcontractors and rechargeable consumables
  • Calculate commission payments
  • Review invoices with discrepancies from purchase ledger
  • To assist the Head of Finance with projects and other tasks that may reasonably be requested by Management

Person specification:


  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally and at many different levels
  • Excellent command and appreciation of the English language and grammar
  • Excellent issue resolution skills
  • Analytical with high attention to detail
  • Understands and implements processes
  • Excellent level of numeracy and grammar
  • Makes good use of the opportunities to develop within the role
  • Resilient and able to work in an organisation that is undergoing change due to development and growth.
  • Able to attain an accurate and consistent standard of service with a high level of competence in word processing.
