Are you a Business and Administration Assessor looking for a role developing curriculum and working closely with Apprentices to develop practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours?


If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Assessor of Business administration, Customer service and Team leading to join our apprenticeship team at Totton college.

The assessor will be part of a growing curriculum that delivers a variety of standards across the provision.


Duties and responsibilities include although not limited to:

  • To effectively manage your own apprentice caseload, whilst supporting and developing apprentices through their Business administration, Customer service and Team leading apprenticeships within their workplace.
  • Track and monitor apprentices and to action early intervention where necessary. Set individual targets for each learner based on capability to ensure KPIs are met.
  • Develop productive relationships with employers ensuring apprentices are progressing within their role and that apprentices successfully complete their apprenticeship by their planned achievement date.
  • Carry out initial assessment and signup process of new apprentices. Developing delivery plans with employers that include 'off the job' training and conducting regular tripartite reviews.
  • Deliver workshops twice a month along with assessment observations and workplace visits.
.To attend and actively contribute to regular apprenticeship team meetings.

  • Minimum Level 3 in Business or equivalent competency.
  • A1, D32 or TAQA assessors award.
  • IQA desirable but not essential.
  • UK driving licence

Please note:


  • Knowledge of the Onefile eportfolio platform would be advantageous but training can be provided.
  • The role can be flexible to allow for some home working.
  • A DBS check will be required for this role.
