Description
We are looking for a warehouse supervisor to join our parcel division within logistics north east.


As a warehouse supervisor you will be assisting in the day to day running of the warehouse in line with the network and company standards.

Working as a team you will ensure good productivity, organisation, accuracy and overall performance of the warehouse.

Shift pattern within the hours of 6am - 8pm Tuesday - Saturday

Key Duties include
- making sure the morning sort runs effectively

  • Supervising the team of drivers, ensuring they adhere to the correct procedures and standards expected.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and maintained within an acceptable standard
  • Liaise with customer service team holding and maintaining a strong communication chain.
  • To be responsible for the KPIs, daily targets and expectations.
  • Identify procedures and/or systems used which could be improved to help minimise warehouse errors and maximise staff productivity.
  • Co ordinate the flow of parcels in and out the warehouse ensuring they are handled and managed correctly following the company procedures.
  • Manage performance of the drivers ensuring that they are handled correctly, effectively in line with the company policy.

Qualifications:

To join us as a warehouse supervisor, you will need
- a full U.K. driving licence

  • 12 years supervisory experience within a warehouse environment
- good understanding of computer systems inc all Microsoft packages

It would be desirable if you had
- forklift license
- knowledge of warehouse health and a safety


Salary:
From £22,000.00 per year
