The Role:

During this internship you will be working closely with the senior project coordinators, liaising with stakeholders, gathering requirements, performing in depth analysis, and overseeing the successful releases that enables S&P Global Commodity Insights to publish a wealth of data and authored content across multiple delivery channels and various other tasks required by business.


The Impact:
S&P Global Commodity Insights publish over 20,000 price assessments and various benchmarks every day and growing.

Generating accurate and timely information is crucial as our customers rely on this information to help them make decisions every day.

An eye for detail, problem solving, decision making, building repeatable processes and excellent communication is vital for this role

Editorial Operations is at the forefront of defining future state architecture for the price assessment process and this role will be central to evolving our operating model.

With changing business models there are always opportunities within the Business Operations group, Commodity Insights or S&P Global's other business units.


The Team:

Editorial Operations is part of the Business Operations Group which is a shared service across the S&P Global Commodity Insights Content creation group and is responsible for creating and managing back-end templates and business rules that enables S&P Global Platts to publish a wealth of data and authored content across multiple delivery channels.

The team also acts as second line support for queries raised by business and troubleshoot issues on real time system.

Editorial Operations consists of four regional teams across Singapore, India, London, and Houston.

All teams work very closely to provide nearly 24/5 coverage and is at the forefront of defining future state architecture for the price assessment process and this role will be central to evolving our operating model.


Requirements:

Basic knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools is an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work with team members and stakeholders at all levels, technical and non-technical, in a positive and team-affirming manner
Attentive to detail and quality oriented; ability to execute in a timely and accurate manner
Strong, demonstrated interest in project management processes and tools
Good presentation skills.

Roles and Responsibilities


Liaise with global Editorial Operations teams to work closely on various upcoming projects, maintain the quality and to discuss way to improve the workflows.

Responsible for providing ideal solutions to the Editorial group using relevant platforms for the projects that involve the introduction of new market assessments and methodological changes and deliver them on agreed timeline
To support the editorial staff across Commodity Insights' worldwide offices (Europe, US, and Asia) using Platts editorial systems to produce price assessments, market news and commentaries for Platts real-time services and publications

Providing second line support for production issues and escalating as necessary, analyze them and put necessary actions in place to mitigate for future.

Support new releases, development and co-ordinate user acceptance testing and implementation of the editorial systems
Ensures all processes are followed and quality is maintained
