Description
Position:
Professional Conduct Officer (Part Time, 3 days per week, up to £30K pro rata)
The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society is the UK's second largest professional association for counsellors and psychotherapists.
We're looking to recruit a part time Professional Conduct Officer (PCO) who will be responsible for handling and processing complaints made by clients about their counsellors.
This is a challenging role requiring a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, including initial interactions with both complainants and counsellors in which sensitive and confidential information may be disclosed.
You will deal with a wide variety of complaints and concerns ranging from minor issues to major breakdowns of the counsellor-client relationship.
You will be trained and supported by an experienced team, and will be part of a complaints process which is designed to be fair to both parties, balancing the rights of our members for a fair process with their responsibilities to work ethically; and being supportive and understanding towards those wishing to make a complaint.
You should not have any professional counselling qualifications as this role is not available to anyone who has trained, or wishes to train, as a counsellor.
