Description

Working closely with Senior Managers to advise on highly complex and challenging workforce issues in support of fundamental service redesign.

Using high level communication skills to advise on all Workforce & Organisational Development issues, both internal and external to the Health Board and negotiate with different audiences when dealing with difficult employee relations, change management, workforce redesign and situations and/or competing/alternative agendas.

Responsible for the delivery and implementation of the long-term strategic HR business plans, which includes workforce plans and recruitment and retention, learning and development plans, equality, diversity and inclusion and health & wellbeing plans within your delivery group ensuring these support group and Health Board business objectives and are aligned with the Workforce and OD strategy.

These long-term strategic plans will impact across multiple highly complex services across the delivery group as well as Health Board wide.


Responsible for the continuation of actions to support the reduction in overall sickness and develop further work to improve this position through education, collaborative working, and training.

Work with senior managers to oversee the performance management of staff within the group to ensure that all staff have clear performance objectives, personal development plans to enable a high performing, engaged and motivated workforce.
