Part Time Accounts Assistant - FTC 10 Months
We are excited to be able to offer an excellent opportunity on behalf of our client based in Leigh on Sea, as a
Part Time Accounts Assistant.
Main duties:
- Record all financial transactions on Xero & Excel cashbook/s on a daily basis
- Raise sales invoices
- Pay purchase invoices, by bank transfer or occasionally credit card
- Set up Direct Debits where appropriate
- Credit Control:
- Monitor/chase all outstanding debtors as soon as they become overdue
- Process payment of purchase invoices
- Keep all sales and purchase invoices filed on Xero
- Assist in maintaining weekly cashflow Excel report and review weekly with the Director
- Calculate VAT return in Xero and process quarterly
- Provide support to external accountants if/when needed
- Monitor and maintain funds in Singapore bank account including use of online facility
- Check staff expense claims, process on Xero and make monthly payments
- Reconcile Company use credit card/s & add data in Xero
- Assist in keeping monthly commission sheets up to date
Other:
- Assist in updating and maintaining various Excel spreadsheets
- Assist with Business travel when needed
- Liaise with preferred Travel agents
- Ordering office stationery and consumables
- Miscellaneous office tasks and errands as required
- Assist in booking various things for our annual conference
Person Specification:
- Reliability & conscientiousness
- Data entry accuracy
- Good working knowledge of a current/modern accounting platform; preferably Xero. Some knowledge of an older accounting platform, TAS would also be useful.

Part Time, Onsite, Fixed Term Contract (From March 2024 to January 2025)

£20,000 - £25,200 PA (Based on 27 hours a week)
