Purpose of the Role


The role of Marketing Assistant is pivotal to the success of the Marketing function within the centre management team at Atria Shopping Centre in Watford.


The Marketing Assistant will report to Head of Marketing and assist in the delivery of compelling marketing campaigns that drive brand metrics, footfall, retailer sales and market share for the shopping and leisure destination, in line with the centre's annual marketing business plan.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing team to deliver the centre's annual marketing business plan in line with the overall strategy
  • Event management lead the operations for centre events, liasing with agencies, site teams and stakeholders for the effective delivery.
  • Agency Management assist the Head of Marketing in the management of agencies including creative, digital, PR and print.
  • Campaign management assist the Head of Marketing in the roll out of all centre campaigns.
  • Assist the Digital Marketing Executive in the delivery of the centre's digital marketing strategy and deputise in their absence. Social media knowledge and experience is a must.
  • Assist in the management of the centre's website via a CMS.
  • Reporting take ownership of formulating ROI reports documenting retailer and centre performance along with other key metrics for each campaign along with monthly and weekly reporting requirements.
  • Ensure the centre's website is constantly refreshed with new and engaging content, promoting events, celebrating key dates / key gifting windows in the annual calendar, to drive visitation and sales.
  • Ensure all marketing communications, including collateral produced for brands, visitors, local community stakeholders, CR partners or commercial partners is in line with brand guidelines and ensure sign off through the correct approvals process.
  • Retail liaison communicate with retailers through regular retailer forums and facetoface visits, to raise awareness of marketing campaigns and opportunities and to curate engaging content that can be amplified via the centre's website and owned channels.
  • Print Management take ownership and manage all print requirements on site including maps, hoarding, back of house and event deliverables.
  • Provide administrative support where required and work in conjunction with all colleagues to maintain consistently high standards within the centre.
  • Deal with enquiries and requests for information and promotional space from local community / charities.
  • Support the PR function for the centre, liaising with local stakeholders.
  • Any other duties as appropriate.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Canva
  • Ability to work in a team, or alone under the direction of Head of Marketing
  • Team player with strong customer service skills, able to provide a helpful and polite service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a calm and professional manner.
  • Able to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Careful and conscientious with an aptitude for attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to learn on the job, keen to undertake training and career development.

Desirable

  • Knowledgeable of Atria and the surrounding area
Working Hours - 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Some weekends if there are specific events to manage for which lieu time will be given the following week. 1hr unpaid lunch.

Salary - £26 to 28k
