Learning Support Assistant

32 hours per week, Term Time Only, Permanent Contract

Support Staff Scale - Grade 5 SCP 7-10 £23,585 - £25,276 pro rata


We require an enthusiastic and suitably qualified person to provide high quality support for students with special educational needs; in and out of the classroom.

Being able to work together with students and their teachers, to ensure best possible learning outcomes, is essential; as is being a team player.

Encouraging independence, improving self-confidence and self-esteem are vital aspects of the role: helping prepare students on their path to success.

The College is in the top 10% in the country for student progress on vocational courses and the top 25% in the country for A Level value added.

The college achieved an "Outstanding" rating in its last Ofsted inspection in January 2020.

The college has been recognised as one of the top ten Sixth Form Colleges in the north-west and is a major provider of quality academic and vocational post 16 education.
