As Senior Warehouse Assistant
within NOV Rig Systems, you will be
responsibl e for
e nsuring
the safe and efficient receipt, storage and control of warehouse materials, goods, and products to feed business operations and customer demands by assisting all other areas within the warehouse to include Picking, Packing and Despatch.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Verification of received materials, inspect parts for quantity, serial number(s), damage, expiry, overage/shortage, and report accordingly (Receiving)
  • Support the picking process (Picking)
  • Covering for the Senior Warehouse Coordinator during periods of absence from base
  • Use of various Manual Handling Equipment to include Forklift and Order picker (Man Up)
  • Utilize Warehouse Management System (Barcoding)
  • Assist internal/external customers with queries
  • Carry out daily putaways for received materials ensuring storage space remains optimal
  • Assist with the periodical check of inventory for expiry, and condition
  • Assist with the preparation of items identified for disposal, coordinate uplift and complete associated paperwork
  • Understand NOV policies and procedures relating to all warehouse operations
  • To support the Warehouse Operations Manager in performing other duties as and when required

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Warehousing, Inventory Control, or relevant field certified (essential)
  • Forklift Certificate (essential)
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport or similar (desirable)
  • Supervisory skills (desirable)
  • Order Picker license (desirable)

EXPERIENCE:


  • Working knowledge in warehousing, inventory control, logistics, or similar (essential)
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes & procedures (essential)
  • Working in a busy environment and under pressure (essential)
  • Working within a small team (essential)
  • Previous Supervisory experience (desirable)

SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:


  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook) (essential)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (essential)
  • Excellent organizational skills (essential)
  • Numerical ability (essential)
  • Attention to detail (essential)
