AJ Chambers is proud to be representing a prestigious Independent Firm of Chartered Accountants in their search for a talented Audit Semi-Senior.

As a key member of the corporate team, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional services to clients, with a focus on accurate and efficient processing of their accounting information.

This role offers a unique blend of audit and accounts responsibilities,where you'll be able to showcase your expertise and creativity.


What will role entail?

  • Lead client audit assignments with inhouse preparation and onsite attendance, accounting for 70% of your role
  • Take on a range of other duties, including preparing accounts and drafting tax computations, accounting for the remaining 30% of your role
  • Plan audits for review by the Manager/Partner, ensuring smooth and efficient execution
  • Prepare all necessary compliance tests and paperwork prior to each assignment
  • Collaborate with the onsite supervisor and other team members, contributing to problem solving and enhancing team performance
  • Manage your time and budget effectively, ensuring that all assignments are completed within the predetermined deadline
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and staff, demonstrating a positive and proactive attitude
  • Take ownership of the completion of work, ensuring that it meets the satisfaction of the Manager
  • Finalize accounts, complete files, and draft tax computations with precision and attention to detail
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members, helping them to develop their skills and grow in their careers

What experience will you have?

  • Partqualified or fullyqualified ACA/ACCA
  • 23 years of experience in planning and executing audits of varying sizes
  • Strong clientfacing skills, demonstrating a professional and approachable demeanor
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • A highly professional appearance and attitude, with a passion for continuous learning and growth
  • Enthusiastic, driven, and eager to take on new challenges, making the most of this exciting opportunity.
