Description

The Assistant Accountant will gain experience bringing accounts to the trial balance stage, reconciling control accounts, and taking responsibility for the aspects of the general ledger which are under their control.

In addition, the Assistant FinancialAccountant may assist with payments, indirect and direct taxation, and reporting, whilst also preparing data and narrative for various monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports concerning all aspects.

Description

  • You will be competent in month end procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • You will be able to use your initiative to resolve reconciliation issues and discrepancies.
  • You will be organised and quick to prioritise your work as needed.
  • You will enjoy working as part of a busy team and be keen to take on new tasks as team roles rotate.
  • You will be happy to work closely with external auditors and provide them with support and assistance where necessary.
  • You will have good communication skills and be able to naturally build positive relationships.
  • You will be competent in identifying better and smarter ways of doing things and question the value in tasks you are set.

Profile

  • Experience in bringing accounts to the trial balance stage and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Previous experience working with a Finance role (2+ years)

Desired:


  • Working towards further accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc.)
  • Gained exposure to Financial Accounting (1+ years)
  • SAP experience

Job Offer

  • Monday to Friday 35 hours per week with the option to flex around 09:0017:00 and all flexible working options considered.
  • Work from home up to 3 days per week.
  • Minimum of 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option of buying an additional 5 days and carrying over.
