This is an exciting time to join Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust (SaTH) as a Physician Associate

We have, to date, delivered a very successful Physician Associates (PA) service across numerous internal specialities: Cardiology, Care of the elderly, Respiratory, Acute medicine, Gastroenterology, Endocrine and Renal Medicine.

The service has undergone a recent review and now has a structured career progression pathway from Band 6 through to B8a in place.

We are pleased to be able to offer a number of new Physician Associates posts at B6 to Physician Associates who are wanting to start a Preceptorship programme

These roles would suit:

PAs who are due to graduate and would like to undertake a Preceptorship PA role and to develop their experience
PAs working at Band 6 wishing to develop skills and experience within the secondary Care setting.

The posts will rotate across both sites (Shrewsbury and Telford) at SaTH within the following areas, as appropriate:

Gastroenterology
Renal
Respiratory
Endocrinology
Cardiology
Older Persons Medicine
Acute Medicine

You should have achieved your Postgraduate Diploma in Physician Associate Studies from an accredited UK training programme and be a member on the UK managed voluntary registry with the Royal College of Physicians Faculty of Physician Associates.
