Turnspeed are a significant contributor of precision components to the automotive, aircraft and hydraulic industry sectors.

Parts are turned, milled, bent and assembled in a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminium and titanium.

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and conscientious individual to join the team in our busy Yeovil-based Workshop on a permanent contract over 38 hours per week.

Reporting to the Assembly Team Leader, the primary purpose of this role is the safe bending of high volumes of machined parts.

The main areas of responsibility include:

Bending of a high volume of machined parts in accordance with local, departmental and company procedures as appropriate.
Informing the Team Leader of any shortages or material issues in a timely manner.
Quality control

Employee requirements:

Essential:

Good understanding of high volume and fastmoving mechanical work
Ability to work in a team
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Capable of prioritising and using your own initiative
Precise attention to detail
A 'cando' attitude and be motivated

Desirable:

An interest in engineering and/or being technically minded
Dexterity
Ability to read engineering drawings

Salary dependant on experience and a competitive benefits package available.
