As a procurement specialist, you will work within the wider operations team and be a pillar to successful project implementation.

You will engage with clients, distributors and vendors to ensure projects delivery and profitability. You will work in partnership with all areas of the business to achieve and excel customer expectations.

You will

  • Generate and issue both sales orders and purchase orders within SLA.
  • Carry out vendor risk assessments and first contract reviews.
  • Analyse purchase options based on price, availability and requirement.
  • Maintain file structures and systems with weekly checks.
  • Always look for ways to improve on profitability utilising daily exchange rates.
  • Maintain and utilise stock and have hands on experience within the warehouse
  • Analyse and book all aspects of travel including any entry requirements.
  • Ensure travel bookings meet engineer, project and quality and profit requirements.
  • Manage your workload/cases on salesforce
  • Check PPE requirements and ensure the travellers are equipped.
  • Have regular checkpoints with travellers through the trip to ensure they are safe
  • Escalate any issues and work with the travel manager for prompt resolution.
You'll need

  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • A firm but fair approach to problems and rate negotiations.
  • Understanding of the key concepts of procurement
  • Around 5 years of relevant business experience
  • Moderate understanding of technology/technical terminology
  • Advanced skillset in the Microsoft packages (Excel, Outlook, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint)
  • An optimistic approach to new challenges and ability to think outside the box
  • Previous use of Microsoft Great Plains or similar accounting packages.
