Description

Our client, based on the outskirts of Newmarket are currently recruiting for machine operator to join their expanding team.

You will be processing steel to order to customer requirements operating a variety of CNC based machinery, forklifts, and combi-lifts.

In house training will be provided for all tasks however experience is desirable.

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 07:00-15:30

Salary:
£22,000 per annum

Duties include:

Working as part of our team of operators, processing steel to order.
Operating a selection of manual and CNC based machinery.
Operate forklifts, combilifts and a crane.
Ensure daily checks before you start your shift are performed on your equipment, crane and

- forklift/combi-lift.

Collating orders, including banding, palletising, bagging and preparing them for loading.
Loading, off Loading of plate and parts from the plasma machines
Identify and locate different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment
Keeping machines and work areas clean and tidy, adhering to all current Health & Safety
Legislation and Company Policy.
Report any machine faults / breakdowns to the production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
Attend training courses when required/requested.
