We have a fantastic opportunity for a
Site Agent
to join our talented Highways Team
on the A63 Project in Hull
. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and help us deliver a successful project.

This role will see you providing management, leadership and control of a multi-disciplinary team comprising Sub Agents, Section Engineers, Site Engineers & Foremen.


What you'll be doing

  • Manage subcontractor performance by chairing key site meetings, ensuring project requirements are met.
  • Take lead in safe production onsite, ensuring periodic Safety & Environment Tours are proactively completed and are in line with the HSES project requirements.
  • Motivate section team and manage their performance undertaking training/coaching as appropriate.
  • Set targets and KPIs in line with Project / Business objectives.
  • Manage final handover of section works taking overall ownership of Handover Documentation for Section.
  • Create robust resourced programme of works in line with contract requirements and ensure targets are met.
  • Lead periodic risk reviews and takes output forward to the Project Risk Register.
  • Ensure that sufficient resources are allocated to the Works Section and that each has an appropriate level of ability.
  • Ensure site audits are undertaken and takes appropriate action on the findings.
  • Implement systems and processes to manage the quality of the constructive works.
  • Ensure production of operational target programmes to reflect overall construction programme.

Who we're looking for

  • Degree qualified, Civil Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge and management of construction process in one or more of the following areas: Earthworks/Drainage, Pavement, Structures, Roadworks
  • Working knowledge of programme management & NEC contracts.
  • Experience in managing budgets for packages of works.
  • Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately.
  • Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity ensuring tasks are carried out effectively and key messages cascaded.
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights as required by the programme.
  • Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card / SMSTS qualified.
