A new role has become available within Birmingham for an experienced caretaker to work for a school based in the Tyseley area.

This role is a long term position and offers 37 hours per week.


The Role as a caretaker:


A caretaker has the important role of maintaining a safe and well maintained environment at the premises for children, staff and parents.

This role is mixed and varied and incudes a variety of tasks such as:


  • General building maintenance
  • Small repairs
  • Assisting and providing information for larger works
  • Being environmentally aware
  • Key holder
  • Gardens and outdoor maintenance/gardening

If this role is of interest and you have previous caretaking or maintenance experience alongside the below, we want to hear from you,

  • DBS check (or willing to obtain one)
  • UK Drivers licence
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with children or staff members.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£14.40 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week

- cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
