Blackwell Resourcing Group are working with a growing organisation to recruit a Finance Assistant.The role will require 1 / 2 days in the Birmingham office and needs an experienced individual who is confident working autonomously.
The role will support several subsidiaries and manage purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank & balance sheet reconciliations and supporting general queries.
The role will be part of a small team and suit a self starter who is looking to join a business that values flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payment
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Assist with monthend closing procedures
- Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting processes
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations
- Provide support in various administrative tasks as needed
Skills:
- Proficiency in data entry and attention to detail
- Knowledge of financial services and accounting principles
- Experience with Sage 50 or 200
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes
