    Excell Supply is working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Chester, committed to providing high-quality education and inspiring every student to achieve their full potential. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Food Technology to join the successful Design & Technology department.

    Responsibilities

    • Teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
    • Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons
    • Promote high standards of achievement, behaviour, and safety in food rooms
    • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
    • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and department

    Ideal Candidate

    • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
    • Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food Technology
    • Is committed to inclusive teaching and high expectations for all learners
    • Works well as part of a collaborative team
    • Is keen to develop professionally within a supportive environment

    Qualifications


    Successful candidates should hold QTS, PGCE with a relevant Bachelor's Degree, a Bachelor of Education or the international equivalent.

    Safeguarding and Employment Checks


    As members of the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) and Umbrella body to the DBS, Excell Supply is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children. All applicants will be subject to thorough employment checks and must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service certificate in place. Candidates without an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will have to apply for a new one.
