This is a part time, permanent role with the option of working around 32 hours a week over 3-5 days.

This would be an ideal role for someone with the right experience who desires flexibility and a great working environment.


Client Details


My client is an events company who host events across their three sites in the UK such as weddings inclusive of hospitality and catering.

With estates in Wiltshire, Surrey and the Cotswolds, they host weddings and events at their picturesque venues.

This role will sit in a small and friendly team in their office in Central London.


Description

Finance Manager (Part-Time) - Hospitality (Hybrid) duties:

  • Overseeing the financial management across three operating sites (in Wiltshire, The Cotswolds, and Surrey) and the parent company based in London.
  • Directly managing the two Accounts Managers and being the link between their daytoday financial reporting, and the commercial context of the wider business.
  • Helping enhance and develop the General Managers understanding of monthly P+L's to help them better forecast performance and identify pinch points ahead of time.
  • Enhancing the detail and accuracy of monthly budgeting.
  • Monitoring sales and forecasting and identifying ways to present the relevant data in an easily digestible manner, to then be acted upon by senior leadership and General Managers.
  • Enhancing financial targeting and reporting strategies to better incentivise sales departments.
  • Overseeing development of our future rates and revenue management strategies.
  • Creating enhanced 'livetracking' of sales and revenue at each property to better identify patterns emerging ahead of time which require focus and action.
  • Working closely with the leadership team to develop and cost 'off peak' pricing and incentives to ensure business volume is maintained throughout the year.
  • Work with Operations, the Group Beverage Manager and Kitchen teams to ensure profit margins are maintained, and to provide tracking frameworks which can be understood at each site.
  • Working closely with the accounts team to ensure information is received and distributed in a timely manner and the highest level of accuracy is achieved.
  • Assisting the Managing Director with the financial planning with the opening of their fourth site in Sussex in late 2023 / early 202
  • Oversee business to business invoicing between catering partners at sites.

Profile

Finance Manager (Part-Time) - Hospitality (Hybrid) criteria:

  • Enough financial knowledge to effectively manage a finance function
  • Ideally experience of the hospitality sector.
  • An understanding of Sage.
  • Proven experience in financial leadership.
  • An ability to be flexible and react to the challenges presented by a growing, young business.

Job Offer

Finance Manager (Part-Time) - Hospitality (Hybrid) benefits:

  • Base salary around £40,000 (£50,000 FTE)
  • Parttime 32 hours per week across 35 days
  • Huge options for flexibility including hybrid/remote working
  • Prorata holiday at 25 days + bank holidays.
  • Opportunity for the role to be extended to fulltime in 2024
