Battery Validation Engineers

Peterborough HYBRID working - onsite 2/3 days a week

Competitive rate (umbrella and PAYE)


We're working on great contract opportunities for Battery Validation Engineers to join a global off highway manufacturer based in Peterborough (there is flexibility around WFH).

You'll be working on new and innovative products; this is an excellent opportunitywith a Fortune 100 company


What will the Battery Validation Engineer do?

  • Work as part of the battery pack validation team, you'll plan, coordinate, execute and report on validation activities at battery pack level
  • These activities will involve working with internal and external test partners to execute key activities at varies levels of pack maturity
  • Work with design engineers (both mechanical and electrical), development engineers and SME's to capture and plan validation requirements via FMEA's and compile these requirements into a structured test plan

What skills and experience will the Battery Validation Engineer need?

  • Mechanical/electrical/automotive engineering degree, or demonstrable experience in lieu of this
  • Battery or Battery Electric Vehicle validation experience (test lab or vehicle/machine) would be strongly beneficial
  • Strong planning and communication skills, be analytical and show the ability to either follow standard work, or modify existing guidelines with approval from the Validation Lead
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficient in MS Office
  • Experience of DFMEA desirable
  • Process documentation desirable
  • Technical problem solving/product development issue resolution desirable
