About the role:

R&D Associate - Veet

Kingston-Upon-Hull

  • As an R & D Category Associate at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fastpaced environment alongside a team of expert scientists dedicated to ensuring product safety and efficacy. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in supporting technical dossier management and analytical lab compliance. With responsibility for new product development for the Veet brand, working with other business functions to develop consumer preferred products. Providing detailed technical input into all aspects of support for the Veet portfolio, supporting technical projects across a range of product formats, ensuring they are progressed to the required standard and agreed timelines.

Your responsibilities:


  • New product development for the Veet brand across multiple product formats (creams, waxes, gels etc)
  • Leading, organising and performing developmental Lab work and supervising sample testing
  • Providing detailed technical input into all aspects of support for the portfolio, you will support/lead technical projects across a range of product formats.
  • Leading projects and independently leading larger aspects of projects
  • Lead and coordinate meetings
  • Communicating and feeding back project updates to senior management as well as presenting new ideas for ways of working

The experience we're looking for:


  • A degree in a Scientific Discipline
  • Experience of working within a laboratory environment
  • Experience or knowledge from a cosmetic or healthcare FMCG background
  • An understanding of Scientific Documentation related to New Product Development
  • Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of formulation/analytical science
  • Experience of leading/supporting technical aspects of projects
  • Strong communication skills and the willingness to put forward ideas and opinions
  • A proactive attitude toward tasks and are action orientated as well as being a self starter
