College of Science and Engineering, College Office, Planning and Operations

Contract Type - Open-ended / Full time, 35 Hours Per Week

The Opportunity:

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to the role of Operations Administrator.

This post will be part of the College Office Planning & Operations Team (working at King's Buildings) and will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support for key areas of College Office operations including:


  • PA Support and diary management to the College Deans and special advisors;
- supporting HR and Finance-related transactional processes on the People & Money system; and contributing to the smooth running of the College Office by ensuring that the facilities and systems are running so as to meet the operational needs across the varied College Office teams and functions.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Strong organisational skills coupled with excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to quickly develop the skills to effectively use appropriate University IT systems, providing associated management information to senior staff within the College Office
  • Ability to plan and prioritise, working independently and also as part of a team.
  • Ability to use initiative to independently resolve day to day problems
  • A proactive approach to business process improvement Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word and Excel), Outlook, MS Teams, and SharePoint
