Reporting the to the Director Signatory Services, the Medical Signatory Specialist will join a team of Specialists responsible for ensuring promotional and non-promotional materials and activities are, fair, balanced and factually accurate and adhere to the Code and our policies.

The role will also act as the SPOC / primary source of ABPI Code medical signatory advice for Therapeutic Area aligned functions and act as a final signatory.


Key responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate superior TA expertise, aligned to strategic and tactical plans and provide expertise through the lifecycle of projects
  • Lead and manage the TA material and activity review process; and act as a final signatory for items and activities for the business
  • Contribute significantly to Medical projects, strategy and tactical plans and provides code expertise
  • Drive continuous quality improvement of team outputs by sharing best practice and provide feedback to TA during concept creation and throughout the design and development process
  • Maintains and seeks to optimise vendor relationships to ensure the service provided delivers effectively and compliantly,
  • Identify and collate any training gaps in compliance knowledge across the company and inform the head of the department to ensure drive quality and high standards
  • Provides strategic guidance on medicines promotion regulations for the company when needed

Role Requirements

Essential requirements:


  • Significant experience in medical affairs in a signatory role (pharmacy/medical qualification) or relevant skills and experience to become a registered signatory in a short timeframe on a wide range of activities, materials and projects.
  • Experience in PMCPA code complaints
  • Good knowledge of UK healthcare systems and
- experience in external stakeholder management preferable.
